Your calls

The calls roofers get, and what it does with each

Active leaks

Asks where the water is coming in and whether it is near lights or sockets, then alerts you.

Storm damage

Takes what came down, when, and whether anything is loose over a path or road.

Flat roofs

Captures the size, the current covering and its age, ready for a survey.

Gutters, fascias and soffits

Books smaller jobs into the days you keep for them.

Re-roofs and new roofs

Takes the property type and books a quote visit.

Insurance work

Notes the insurer and asks the customer to send photos before your visit.

Booked into the diary you already use. Jobs go into Google Calendar on every plan, with the address, number and a one-line summary. The customer gets a confirmation text and a reminder the day before. With more than one roofer, jobs can route by postcode and keep emergency slots free.

The text you get

The text your customer gets

  1. Assistant: Good afternoon, [your business]. I’m the virtual assistant and this call is recorded. What’s happened?
  2. Caller: There’s water coming through the bedroom ceiling.
  3. Assistant: I’ll get a roofer out today. Is the water near any lights or sockets?
  4. Caller: No, it’s in the corner by the window.
  5. Assistant: Thank you. What’s the address and postcode?
  6. Caller: Twenty-two Station Road. [gives postcode]
  7. Assistant: Booked for four o’clock today. Could you text us a photo of the ceiling? I’ve sent you the number.

Urgent calls

When it's urgent, you decide what happens

Water coming in now. Tiles or lead down after a storm. Anything loose over a path. You decide what counts as urgent and who gets the call.

  • ✓Asks the questions you’d ask. Is water coming in now? Is it near lights or sockets? Is anything loose above a path or road?
  • ✓Alerts you or your on-call roofer by text or call, with the address and a one-line summary.
  • ✓Asks for photos. The customer gets a text asking for pictures, so you know what to bring.
  • ✓Never gives technical advice. It will not tell anyone to go into a loft or onto a roof. That is left to you.

You set the rules

If this, then that. Every call, the same way.

If: Water coming in now
→ Alert you straight away
If: Storm damage, nothing leaking
→ Book a survey and ask for photos
If: Quote for a new roof
→ Book a quote visit

Example rules. Yours are agreed with you during setup.

Questions roofers ask

What happens after a storm, when everyone rings at once?

It answers every call at the same time, so nobody gets an engaged tone. Each caller is asked whether water is coming in now, and the urgent ones are flagged to you first.

Can it get photos before I visit?

Yes. It texts the customer asking for photos of the damage, so you can judge the job and the materials before you set off.

Can it book survey and quote visits?

Yes. It offers only the times that are free in your Google Calendar, takes the address and the scope, and texts the customer a confirmation and a reminder.

Can it give a price over the phone?

Only the prices you give it, such as a call-out charge or a fixed price for a set job. For anything else it books a survey.

Do I keep my own number?

Yes. Your number stays the same. Calls are forwarded to the assistant when you choose: out of hours, when you are busy, or all the time.
