Urgent calls

When it's urgent, you decide what happens

A child or a vulnerable person locked in. Someone locked out late at night. A door that won’t secure after a break-in. You decide what counts as urgent and who gets the call.

  • ✓Asks the questions you’d ask. Is anyone inside? What type of door is it? Is the property secure?
  • ✓Alerts your on-call locksmith by text or call, with the address and a one-line summary.
  • ✓Someone in danger? It tells the caller to ring 999 as well, and still sends you the job.
  • ✓Gives only the prices you set. Your call-out charge and night rate are quoted exactly as you give them, or not at all.

You set the rules

If this, then that. Every call, the same way.

If: Child or vulnerable person locked in
→ Give 999 if anyone is in danger, and alert the locksmith now
If: Locked out at night
→ Alert the on-call locksmith
If: Lock change
→ Book the next free slot

Example rules. Yours are agreed with you during setup.

Questions locksmiths ask

What happens to a lockout call at 2am?

It answers. If you do night call-outs, it takes the address and the door type and alerts your on-call locksmith by text or call. If you don’t, it says so and books the first slot you have made available.

Can it quote my call-out charge?

Yes, if you want it to. It gives the call-out charge and night rate exactly as you set them. It never makes up a price.

How fast do I hear about an urgent job?

Your on-call locksmith gets a text or a call as soon as the customer has given the address, with a one-line summary of the job.

Does it ask who the caller is?

It takes the caller’s name, number and address on every job, and any extra questions you want asked, such as whether they are the occupier. You decide the wording.

Do I keep my own number?

Yes. Your number stays the same. Calls are forwarded to the assistant when you choose: out of hours, when you are busy, or all the time.
