Your calls

The calls electricians get, and what it does with each

EICRs and landlord certificates

Takes the property type, number of bedrooms and the deadline, then books the inspection.

Power off or tripping

Asks whether it is the whole property or one circuit, and whether anyone depends on the supply.

Consumer unit upgrades

Captures the age of the board and books a survey visit.

EV charger installs

Asks about parking, the car and where the meter is, ready for your quote.

Lighting and extra sockets

Books smaller jobs into the days you keep for them.

Commercial and testing work

Takes the site contact, access hours and what needs testing.

Booked into the diary you already use. Jobs go into Google Calendar on every plan, with the address, number and a one-line summary. The customer gets a confirmation text and a reminder the day before. With more than one electrician, jobs can route by postcode and keep emergency slots free.

Example call

One call, start to finish

An illustration of how a call runs. Your own script is written with you during setup, in your words.

The text you get

EICR, two-bed rental flat, needed by Friday. Booked Thursday am. Tenant access to confirm.

The text your customer gets

[Your business]: Your EICR is booked for Thursday morning. We will send a reminder the day before.

  1. Assistant: Good afternoon, [your business]. I’m the virtual assistant and this call is recorded. How can I help?
  2. Caller: I need an electrical certificate for my rental by Friday.
  3. Assistant: I can book that. Is it a house or a flat, and how many bedrooms?
  4. Caller: A two-bed flat.
  5. Assistant: Thank you. Thursday morning is free. Shall I book that in?
  6. Caller: Yes please.
  7. Assistant: Booked for Thursday morning. I’ll text you the confirmation now. Is the tenant expecting us?

Urgent calls

When it's urgent, you decide what happens

Sparking, a burning smell, exposed wires, or no power for someone who depends on it. You decide what counts as urgent and who gets the call.

  • ✓Asks the questions you’d ask. Is it the whole property or one circuit? Is there any burning smell? Is anyone at risk?
  • ✓Alerts your on-call electrician by text or call, with the address and a one-line summary.
  • ✓Fire or immediate danger? It tells the caller to ring 999 first. For a power cut on the street it gives the national number, 105.
  • ✓Never gives technical advice. It will not talk a caller through anything at the board. That is left to you.

You set the rules

If this, then that. Every call, the same way.

If: Burning smell or sparking
→ Give 999 if there is danger, then alert the on-call electrician
If: Whole property without power
→ Alert the on-call electrician
If: Certificate or quote
→ Book the next free slot

Example rules. Yours are agreed with you during setup.

Questions electricians ask

Can it book an EICR without me?

Yes. It asks the questions you need for an inspection, offers only the times that are free in your Google Calendar, and texts the customer a confirmation.

What does it do with a caller who smells burning?

It follows the rules you set. If there is fire or immediate danger it tells the caller to ring 999, then alerts your on-call electrician with the address. It never gives technical advice.

Can it quote for an EV charger?

It takes what you need to quote: the car, the parking, where the meter is. It only gives prices you have told it to give. Otherwise it books a survey or passes you the details.

Can my NICEIC or NAPIT number go on the confirmation?

Yes. Your registration number can go on every confirmation text. The assistant answers the phone; it is not a registered trade and does not pretend to be.

Do I keep my own number?

Yes. Your number stays the same. Calls are forwarded to the assistant when you choose: out of hours, when you are busy, or all the time.
