RingCentral AI Receptionist alternative for UK businesses
RingCentral AI Receptionist, known as AIR, is a self-service virtual receptionist. In the UK you can buy it from RingCentral, and since 1 October 2026 it also powers BT's AI Receptionist. MyAIVoiceAgent is a different kind of product: a done-for-you service for a flat monthly fee. This page explains the difference and when each one is the better choice.
Quick verdict
Choose RingCentral AIR if you want a low-cost tool you configure yourself, your call volume is modest, or you already use RingCentral for your phones.
Choose MyAIVoiceAgent if your phone is how customers book, such as a dental practice or salon, and you want someone else to write, test and look after the call handling for a fixed monthly fee.

Where RingCentral AIR is better
- Entry price. A small minute bundle costs far less than a managed service.
- Speed. You can sign up and configure it yourself without waiting for anyone.
- Existing RingCentral customers. It sits inside the phone system you already use.
- Scale and track record. RingCentral is a large, established provider.
Where a done-for-you service is better
- You do none of the setup. We run a discovery call, write the script, build it, test it and maintain it. See how it works.
- Call handling written for your sector. Our dental and salon receptionists follow flows designed for those businesses.
- A bill you know in advance. One flat fee, whatever the month looks like.
- You can hear it before you buy. You can hear ours before you decide: use the Talk to it now button on our homepage, or call the demo line on 01480 775566 and it will answer as your business.
RingCentral direct or through BT?
BT's product page says its AI Receptionist is powered by RingCentral. If you are weighing the two, compare the bundle prices, the overage terms and who supports you, since the underlying technology is the same. Our BT pricing guide lists the questions to ask, and our BT comparison covers BT's version in detail.
